Marcus Batto is an experimental video artist and freelance editor living in Los Angeles. Through the meticulous curation and reconstruction of archival tape and images, he plays with the juxtaposition between personal media and public spectacle. His work examines our relationship to memory by lending a microscope to the strange and ordinary.

His debut feature documentary, there’ll likely be michael jackson vigils throughout the night, will premiere in Spring 2026.

Marcus is also a programmer at Now Instant Image Hall.
